Serving Since 1964
Sierra Ambulance provides paramedic ambulance service to the communities of eastern Madera County, CA. We are located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains 18 miles south of Yosemite National Park, and 50 miles north of Fresno on State Route 41. We serve the communities of Oakhurst, Ahwahnee, Bass Lake, North Fork, Coarsegold, Yosemite Lakes, Raymond, Fish Camp, O Neals, and portions of Yosemite National Park and the Sierra National Forest; over 1,000 square miles in all. The total population of all of these communities is just over 30,000. Sierra Ambulance is a non-profit corporation founded in 1964.
It is the continuing mission of Sierra Ambulance Service to provide the highest quality emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital care to the sick and injured. This care extends beyond ambulance transportation and includes community education and involvement in programs that reduce injury, illness, and death in our community.
